Pune, 19 November 2025: A major accident was reported near Hotel Kapila on Dhole Patil Road in Pune after a building slab collapsed during ongoing reconstruction work. The incident occurred on Friday afternoon when part of the structure suddenly gave way.
According to initial information, two people are believed to be trapped under the debris. The Pune Fire Brigade received an emergency call immediately after the collapse and sent three fire tenders to the location. Rescue teams are currently clearing the rubble to reach those trapped inside.
Officials said work to pull out the trapped individuals is in progress, though there is no confirmation yet about any injuries or loss of life. The area has been cordoned off as emergency crews continue their operation in the busy central part of Pune.
