Alongside enforcement, the Pune City Traffic Police has also increased citizen participation through technology. Additional Commissioner of Police Manoj Patil said citizens can easily download the PTP app and report violations by uploading photos or videos. These violations include triple-seat riding, parking on footpaths, fancy number plates, rash driving, using mobile phones while driving, and double parking. He added that the initiative aims to strengthen road safety with public support.

Patil further stated, “We have decided to reward ₹50,000 to the person or persons who report the maximum number of traffic offences in a year through the PTP app.”
