Pune, 8th April 2026 : The Traffic Police have announced a temporary closure of the road from Khadi Machine Chowk to Saswad for today, in view of the ‘Hindu Janakrosh Morcha’ organized by Sakal Hindu Samaj in Purandar taluka.

The march will take place between Saswad and Yewalewadi, and authorities expect heavy traffic congestion in the Kondhwa area.

To manage the anticipated crowd and ensure public safety, vehicle movement on this stretch will be restricted from 7:00 AM onwards. Officials said the decision has been taken to prevent traffic snarls and maintain smooth movement in nearby areas.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Sandeep Bhajibhakare stated that the road closure is necessary considering the scale of the march and urged citizens to avoid the affected route during the morning hours.

Commuters traveling towards Saswad have been advised to use an alternate route via Khadi Machine Chowk, Undri Chowk, Mantarwadi Phata, and Diveghat. Traffic police have also appealed to citizens to plan their travel in advance and cooperate with on-duty personnel to avoid inconvenience.
