Pune, 31 January 2026: Traffic on the Pune–Satara highway will be affected for three days due to installation work near Navale Bridge. A lane between the Katraj new tunnel and Navale Bridge will remain closed from February 3 to February 5 during morning hours.
According to officials, the closure will be in effect from 6 am to 8 am each day. During this period, vehicles travelling from Satara towards Mumbai will not be allowed to pass through this stretch. The restriction has been imposed to facilitate the installation of speed control camera gantries on the highway.
The project director of the National Highways Authority of India has appealed to commuters to plan their travel accordingly. Motorists have been advised to use the Katraj old tunnel and the adjoining service roads as alternative routes to reduce congestion and avoid delays.
Authorities have requested public cooperation during the temporary traffic restriction and assured that the measures are necessary to improve road safety on the busy highway corridor.
