
Pune, 2nd July 2025: The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) had announced a complete shutdown of water supply in several parts of the city on Thursday, July 3, 2025, due to emergency structural repair work near the Agam Mandir foothill. The civic body stated that the shutdown was necessary to carry out urgent maintenance in the water supply system.
According to a notice issued by Nandkishore Jagtap, Chief Engineer of the Water Supply Department, residents in the affected areas were advised in advance to store sufficient water and cooperate during the repair operations.
As per PMC’s notice, areas that experienced the disruption included Dattanagar, Telco Colony, Amrai, Ambegaon Buddha Vihar area, Dattawadi Nagar, Waghjai Nagar, Ambel Farm area, Pancham Nagar, Wadar Wasti and nearby localities, Santosh Nagar, Anjali Nagar, Mahavir Kunj, Wonder City, Section Society area, Guruwar area, Ambegaon Khurd Gaothan, and Jambhulwadi Road.
The PMC also warned that on Friday, July 4, residents in these areas may face delayed and low-pressure water supply as the system stabilizes post-maintenance. Citizens were urged to take all necessary precautions.
