Pune, 28th July 2026: The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has announced the suspension of water supply in several parts of the city on Thursday, July 30, as it undertakes electrical and mechanical maintenance work at the Lashkar Water Purification Centre and its associated pumping station.

According to civic officials, the scheduled maintenance is necessary to repair and upgrade key infrastructure to ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of Pune's water distribution system.

PMC has also informed citizens that water supply on the morning of Friday, July 31, is expected to resume late and with low pressure as the distribution network will take time to recharge after the maintenance work.

Residents have been urged to make the necessary arrangements by storing adequate water in advance and using it carefully until normal supply is restored.

The water shutdown will impact several localities across Pune, including Bibvewadi, Market Yard, Gultekdi, Salisbury Park, Maharshi Nagar, Swargate, Camp, Pune Cantonment, Wanowrie, Fatimanagar, Ramtekdi, Hadapsar, Shewalewadi, Manjari, Kondhwa, NIBM Road, Undri, Mohammadwadi, Ghorpadi, Mundhwa, Kharadi, Kalyani Nagar, Koregaon Park, Yerawada, Vishrantwadi, Dhanori, Lohegaon, Khadki, Sangamwadi, Shivajinagar, Deccan, Model Colony, Bopodi, and adjoining areas connected to the Lashkar water supply network.

PMC has appealed to residents to cooperate during the maintenance work, stating that regular water supply will be restored only after the repair work is completed and the distribution system is fully recharged.
