

Pune, 13th August 2026: The yellow alert has been issued for Pune's ghat areas by India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Thursday with warning of heavy rainfall at isolated places. The city is expected to remain generally cloudy, with very light to light rain likely during the day.
On Friday, the weather is expected to intensify in the ghat areas, which have been placed under an orange alert. Heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely at isolated locations.
City experienced cooler weather on Wednesday as intermittent showers and increased humidity brought down temperatures. Shivajinagar recorded a maximum temperature of 25.7°C, while the weather station received 5.8 mm of rainfall in the 24 hours ending Wednesday.
The intermittent showers also kept temperatures lower compared with the recent warmer conditions.
According to the forecast, Pune is likely to record a maximum temperature of around 28°C and a minimum of 22°C on Thursday.

Very light to light rain at intervals
Increased humidity
Heavy rain at isolated places in the ghat areas
The IMD warning indicates that while rainfall in Pune city is likely to remain light, residents travelling towards the ghat areas should remain cautious due to the possibility of intense spells.
