Pune, 14th August 2026: Congress leader and Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition (LoP) Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to visit Pune on August 22 as part of his Maharashtra tour. He will participate in the ‘Chhatron Ki Goonj’ student interaction program.
The program will focus on issues affecting students and young people, including education, employment, competitive examinations and concerns about India’s future. Students are expected to get an opportunity to directly raise questions and share their concerns with Gandhi.
Gandhi has previously held similar interactions with students in different parts of the country. He visited Kota in Rajasthan and interacted with students amid concerns over the NEET examination and the issue of paper leaks.
He also recently held a student interaction in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, where he discussed issues concerning students and competitive examinations.
The Pune program comes at a time when political activity is intensifying in Maharashtra. The Congress has begun preparations for Gandhi’s visit, while party workers and political circles are closely watching the program.
His interaction with students is expected to provide the Congress an opportunity to highlight issues related to education, employment and opportunities for young people.
