Pune, 5th February 2026: Several areas under Pune’s Parvati Division will face a seven-hour power shutdown for today as Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (Mahavitaran) undertakes scheduled maintenance and repair work on its power infrastructure.

According to Mahavitaran, electricity supply will remain suspended from 10.30 am to 5.30 pm on February 5 to carry out essential upkeep. During this period, power supply from the 22/11 kV Navi Peth and Takshashila feeders, along with the 11 kV Tarun Bharat and Vitthalwadi feeders, will be interrupted. These feeders cater to large parts of the Parvati division and adjoining localities.

The outage is expected to impact several areas, including Navi Peth, Sadashiv Peth, Shukrawar Peth, Budhwar Peth, Laxmi Road, Tilak Road, Bajirao Road, Ganjwe Chowk, Phule Mandai, S.P. College area, Poona Hospital vicinity, Dhayari, and nearby residential and commercial zones.

Appealing for public cooperation, the Executive Engineer of Mahavitaran’s Parvati Division said the shutdown is necessary to ensure reliable power supply in the future. Citizens have been advised to plan their activities in advance and use electrical appliances carefully once electricity is restored.
