Pune, 11 February 2026: Senior leader Sharad Pawar was shifted to a private hospital in Pune on Monday after experiencing health-related complications. The 83-year-old leader had reportedly been unwell for a few days, following which doctors advised hospitalisation for advanced medical care.
In an official statement issued by Ruby Hall Clinic, physician and trustee Dr Simon Grant said Pawar’s condition is stable and showing consistent improvement. “All his vital parameters are within normal limits, and his overall clinical condition is stable and reassuring,” the statement said.
Doctors noted that Pawar had chest congestion at the time of admission, which is now responding very well to treatment. According to the medical team, recent extensive travel, public engagements, and physical exertion contributed to his health issues.
The hospital further stated that Pawar is under continuous medical observation and has been recovering steadily. Based on his current progress, doctors are planning to discharge him within the next two days, with the final decision to be taken after reviewing his condition.
Medical authorities have expressed confidence in his recovery and said there is no cause for immediate concern.
