The most talked-about AI chatbot and assistant of the moment, Claude AI, has been hit by a global outage, leaving thousands of users unable to access its chat, app, website and login services. Social media platforms quickly filled with complaints from users reporting failed conversations, error messages and sign-in problems. The outage has also disrupted developers and businesses that rely on Claude's API and coding tools, raising concerns over reliability as AI assistants become increasingly integrated into everyday workflows.

The latest disruption follows another major outage on June 2, when Claude experienced elevated error rates across its web platform, API services and Claude Code. Users have been advised to monitor Anthropic's status page for further updates while engineers continue working to restore services.
