BotLab Dynamics has reached a remarkable milestone as their made-in-India drones created the world’s largest aerial image of a mammal, a majestic tiger—using 2,983 synchronized drones in Mysuru, Karnataka.
This achievement, officially recognized on September 28, 2025, during the Mysuru Dasara festivities, marks the company’s sixth Guinness World Record and underscores India’s growing leadership in drone technology and large-scale aerial storytelling.
The achievement recognized the "Largest aerial depiction of a mammal using multirotors/drones," accomplished through an impressive tiger formation crafted with 3,000 domestically developed drones. Of these, 2,983 illuminated the night sky perfectly, creating a stunning portrayal of the tiger, the national animal of India.
Over 35,000 people at the Bannimantap Parade Grounds watched in awe as a giant illuminated tiger appeared in the night sky, drawing loud applause. The milestone event marked BotLab Dynamics’ fourth straight year of presenting drone shows at the Mysuru Dasara festival, showcasing a fusion of cultural heritage and cutting-edge technology.
BotLab Dynamics organized four drone light shows during Mysuru Dasara on September 28 and 29, and October 1 and 2, each showcasing 12 meticulously designed formations. However, it was the record-setting attempt on September 28 that captured worldwide attention, securing another Guinness World Record for India.
Mysuru Dasara 2025 showcased India’s prowess in drone technology with a breathtaking tiger formation that matched and even exceeded global standards. Previously dominated by large Chinese shows, high-volume drone displays are now firmly within India’s reach. The flawless performance received widespread praise nationally and internationally, with videos going viral and audiences marveling at a mega-show designed and executed entirely in India.
As an IIT Delhi-founded startup, BotLab Dynamics has spent years developing indigenous drone hardware, software, and show protocols. Their record-setting tiger display in Mysuru highlights India’s growing prowess in creative-tech and entertainment.
This 2025 achievement builds on an extraordinary 2024 performance, when BotLab set five Guinness World Records at the Amaravati Drone Summit with 5,500 drones, including records for the largest aerial vehicle, landmark, planet, logo, and flag displays.
