Smartphones on a budget: All you need to know about the Realme C Series

The brand launched its entry-level smartphones on Thursday; we've rounded up all you need to know about them.

Surprising its fans after an elaborate launch not-so-long-ago, Realme on Thursday added to its bounty by introducing more to its C Series on a virtual platform. This time around, the brand has brought forth its entry-level smartphones into the market -- titled the C series. These include Realme C20, Realme C21 and Realme C25.

In a digital launch, the team unveiled the devices with an elaborate discussion on their offerings and price. The Realme C20 has a single rear camera, whereas the Realme C21 and Realme C25 lend triple rear cameras. Realme C25 offers a superior battery life of 6000 mAh, and its counterparts sport a 5000 mAh power backup.

"Our entry-level C series has always seen a tremendous response from the customers. This has contributed to achieving over 32 million C-series users globally. With the launch of three new C series, users in the affordable segment will be able to explore more options with best-in-class technology," said Mr Madhav Sheth, Vice President, Realme and Chief Executive Officer, Realme India and Europe.

Mr Madhav also spoke about the brand's partnership with TÜV Rheinland.

"We are also pleased to announce that we have partnered with the world-renowned authority in quality TÜV Rheinland and have worked together with them to set new, upgraded quality standards for smartphones. Both, realme C21 and realme C25 are the first smartphones which will have TÜV Rheinland High Reliability Certification," he said,

Overview: Realme's first base-level smartphone offers 4GB+128GB storage and is available in two shades: watery blue, watery grey. It comes with a MediaTek Helio G70 Processor and instant fingerprint sensor, which could reportedly handle mid to heavy apps and games.

Camera: The Realme C25 sports a primary camera that utilises a 13MP image sensor. It also comes with a 4x zoom and macro lens, keeping up with the smartphones in its league. C25's front camera has an 8MP selfie cam that supports AI beautification function, HDR mode and portrait mode.

Display: The device comes equipped with a 6.5-inch 20:9 screen for an immersive audio and video experience.

Battery: Realme C25 comes packed with a 6000 mAh battery. It is supported using an 18W quick charge, and it can also thrive for 47 days on standby mode.

Overview: The C21 uses a MediaTek Helio G35, and it is suitable for regular smartphone users -- as well as gamers. It can handle most common to heavy apps and games used on a day-to-day basis. The device is available in two shades: cross blue, cross black.

Camera: The Realme C21 has a triple camera set-up, with a primary camera that adopts a 13MP image sensor. It allows users to capture images in B&W and retro lens. In the front, the Realme C21 comprises a 5MP selfie camera with AI beautification function, HDR mode and portrait mode.

Display: The smartphone comes with a 6.5-inch 20:9 screen for a full-screen viewing and gaming experience.

Battery: Unlike the C25, Realme's C21 takes it down a notch with a 5000 mAH battery with 43 days in standby mode. Both Realme C21 and C20 come with an OTG reverse charge.

Overview: Like the C21, Realme's C20 utilises a MediaTek Helio G35, which can support mid to heavy-range apps. The device is available in two shades as well: cool blue, cool grey.

Camera: Realme C20's primary camera comprises an 8MP image sensor. Along with that, users can utilise a 4x zoom, chroma boost as well as 1080P video recording.

Display: The C20, too, comes with a 6.5-inch 20:9 screen like C21. The screen size allows users to experience a wider field of view for gaming, audio and video.

Battery: C20's battery is a whopping 5000 mAh, which can last 43 days on standby. Apart from this, it comes with an OTG reverse charge.
