

The PlayStation Network is experiencing a widespread outage across the United States, leaving thousands of gamers unable to access games Monday evening. According to Downdetector, more than 3,000 users reported issues, with complaints peaking in the late hours over login failures, connectivity problems, and gameplay disruptions.
The service’s live outage map also indicated that New York, Washington, Houston, Los Angeles, Tijuana, Boston, and several other locations were among the hardest hit.
Downdetector reports that around 3,349 users experienced problems with the Sony network at approximately 10:40 PM EST. Of the complaints submitted, 53% involved login difficulties, 35% related to server connectivity, and 8% concerned gameplay issues.
Sony’s official PlayStation service status page reports that all services are currently operational. The platform lists account management, gaming, social features, and the PlayStation Store as fully functional.
Angry gamers quickly turned to X to vent their frustration. One user, wrote, “Sony, you’re already sticking with your awful prices after the PSN subscription, then the PS6, and now the PlayStation Network is down. I’m going to boycott soon.” Another user posted, “Is anyone else’s PlayStation Network down?? #ps5”.
