Samsung launches FlexWash washing machine

ST CORRESPONDENT

Pune: In an endeavour to resolve pinch points for consumers when it comes to doing laundry, Samsung launched its newest innovation, FlexWash washing machine, in the city on Tuesday. The new machine, which is equipped with two washers and one dryer, is expected to put an end to the sorting of clothes and multiple loads.

Speaking about the product during the launch ceremony, Vice President, Consumer Electronics, Samsung India, Alok Pathak said, “This is the machine of the future, which will enable people to wash large and small loads of clothes individually or simultaneously. The top load washer has a 3.5 kg capacity for washing on white clothes, delicate clothes, lingerie and sportswear. Meanwhile, the front load with a capacity of 21 kg can be used for trousers, shirts, comforters, bed linens and other such clothes.”

Pathak said that the built-in, 13 kg dryer will ensure 100 per cent drying to avoid stench on clothes. “The washers and the dryer will also sanitise and deodorise the clothes. The machine also comes with the AddDoor facility, which will enable consumers to add any missed out or forgotten clothes to the washer mid-cycle,” he said.

Pathak said the machine is IoT-enabled and integrated with smart control. “These features will allow users to operate and monitor the machine anytime, from anywhere using their smartphones. The machine is also equipped with core Samsung technologies, eco-obubble, bubble soak and vibration reduction technology,” said Pathak.

FlexWash will be available in the market from August 15 this year at a price of Rs 1.45 lakh. The machine was launched by Pathak and actress Vidya Malvade in the city on Tuesday.
