Siya Kakkar, a 16-year-old TikTok sensation and dancer, died by suicide on June 25 in New Delhi, taking a toll on the world of online entertainment. The news comes after the death of Crime Patrol actress Preksha Mehta and Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Sushant, too, committed suicide by hanging on June 14. The 34-year-old actor’s death took the whole nation and the entire Bollywood fraternity aback. He was found dead in his Mumbai apartment and was allegedly suffering from depression for the past six months.

Kakkar, a TikTok sensation, lived in Preet Vihar in New Delhi. Arjun Sarin, who managed all of Kakkar’s work and endorsements, confirmed her death. He said, “This must be due to something personal...work-wise she was doing well. I had a word with her last night for a new project, and she sounded normal. Me and my company Fame Experts manage lots of artists and Siya was a bright talent. I am heading to her home in Preet Vihar.”

Kakkar used multiple social media platforms like TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and Snapchat and earned fame amongst the youth through her videos showcasing her dancing skills. She has a huge follower base on all her social media handles. She had over 1.1 million followers on TikTok and 104k followers on Instagram.
