After Goan, Kutchi and Marathi, Gulshan Devaiah dons a Bihari avatar

Sakal Times

Be it the Maharashtrian Mandar Ponkshe in Hunterrr, the Kutchi Bhavani in Raam-Leela or the Chittappa Gowda from That Girl in Yellow Boots, actor Gulshan Devaiah has upped his acting graph with each successive performance. His versatility and ability to imbibe the nuances of each role has many calling him ‘the master of disguise’. Adding another ethnic feather to his acting cap is the latest character of a Bihari gangster named Jairam Jha that he portrays in an upcoming web series titled Smoke.

Smoke touted as a gritty and dark crime drama set in the underbelly of Goa will premiere at the global entertainment content market MIPCOM 2018 in Cannes under the ‘Made in India Originals’ category on October 15.

We heard that Gulshan kept his Bihari accent on and off set throughout the duration of the shoot. The teaser of Smoke has already given viewers a peek into Gulshan’s character and his accent is spot on. The web series featuring Gulshan and an ensemble cast will release digitally on October 26, 2018. Gulshan will also be seen in a double role in Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota and as a parallel lead with Vidyut Jammwal in Commando 3. ST
