Filmmaker and actor Karan Johar and Kajol will appear together this weekend on Sony Entertainment Television’s The Kapil Sharma Show. On the show, the duo will be seen interacting and entertaining the audience while sharing their funny stories and experiences with Kapil.

During conversing about Karan’s films and directorial ventures, he made a shocking revelation that involved Archana Puran Singh, who is currently part of the show. Karan said that it was not Kimi Katkar but Archana who was offered the famous song, Jumma Chumma from the hit 1990 film Hum. A source close to the sow, shares, “It was shocking to learn that initially, Archana Puran Singh was offered to do the famous item song, Jumma Chumma in Agneepath. But Amitabh Bachchan felt that considering he was playing a don, a serious character in Agneepath, the song Jumma Chumma didn’t suit the sequence. He therefore requested to Karan’s father (Yash Johar) to use another item song from the archives.” 

The source further added, “This was the reason Archana ended up doing Alibaba in Agneepath and Jumma Chumma was then used in Hum, which starred Amitabh,  Rajnikanth, Govinda and was distributed by Dharma Productions.”
