Bye Bye Winter, Hello Summer!

Alisha Shinde

Anticipation is ramping up after Netflix unveiled a brand new clip and posters of Stranger Things 3, on social media. The new season starts streaming from July 4. The promo trailer on Netflix titled Summer in Hawkins made the excitement levels rocket through the roof, because post Game of Thrones, here’s a new series that fans can binge watch.

Based on the new teaser for Season 3, it is safe to say that it is going to be one hot summer in Hawkins, Indiana, especially with a grown up Billy on a lifeguard duty by the poolside. The new clip also features the likes of Karen Wheeler (Cara Buono) but doesn’t include anyone from the main gang such as Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) or Mike Wheeler (Finn Wolfhard).

It has been long since Netflix last took fans to the world of Stranger Things. However, with the series returning to the screens, it is said that the new season will pick up from six months after the events concluded in Season 2. The final episode closed on the Snow Ball just before Christmas of 1984. The series picks up from the summer break of 1985, coinciding with the opening of the Starcourt Mall.

Twitterati was quick to respond — they liked and re-tweeted the clip and the posters suggesting that they would indeed have a busy summer.
