Kabir Sadanand’s next web series inspired by ‘Kamasutra’

After Married Woman Diaries and Virgin Woman Diaries, actor-director Kabir Sadanand is all set to make his next web series that is modern day adaptation of Kamasutra. The protagonist of the show will be a modern day Vatsyayana, who wrote the Kamasutra.
Speaking about it, Kabir says, “The book is not only about sexual positions, but also about mutual respect between partners. It’s a subject that needs to be told, specially in today’s time.”

While the preproduction on the show is already on in full swing, Kabir says that the cast of the show will be announced in early May prior to the shoot. Quiz him on the sort of actors he’s looking for and he says, “All I can say is that some interesting actors are being picked. They are young and we have a lot to learn from them.”

Tentatively titled O, Vatsyayana, the show that will premiere on the FrogsLehren channel on YouTube. The director will wrap up filming the series by May end.  

Taking a break from his feature projects to do yet another web series, Kabir says, “The web gives any creative person the freedom to explore not only bold but also many new genres. The web has opened up the creativity barometer, making way for relevant and more ‘in’ stories.”
