Kriti’s height is an issue for the actress

Sakal Times

Actress Kriti Sanon is one of the tallest actresses in Bollywood and because of her height, she sometimes has to struggle to work with short heighted co-actors, including Shahrukh Khan.

The actress will be seen in the upcoming episode of Sony Entertainment Television’s The Kapil Sharma Show. She will be accompanied by her co-stars - Varun Sharma and Diljit Dosanjh who come to promote their latest release Arjun Patiala. While having a fun time with Kapil Sharma, Bharti Singh, Sumona Chakraborty and Kiku Sharda, the trio will be seen sharing some interesting stories from their lives.

While conversing with the cast, Kapil asked Kriti to share her experience working with short heighted actor and if she had ever faced a situation where the actor opposite her had to stand on stool to match her height, the same way Jaya Bachchan did in Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Ghum to match Amitabh Bachchan’s height. Kriti hilariously mentioned, “I face this problem with many actors. However, I don’t remember any actor standing on the stool to match my height. But when we shoot a close up scene, I usually keep my feet apart in front of the camera so that I can match my height with my co-actor.”

“In fact in Dilwale when I was working with Shahrukh Khan, it was tough to match his height as we had to be in the same frame. But SRK mentioned to me that he has worked with a lot tall actresses and now he is used to it,” she added.

Further in the show, Arjun Patiala actress will be seen revealing some behind the scenes moments with director and co-actors. She mentioned that there were three Punjabis- director Rohit Jugraj, Diljit Dosanj and Varun Sharma. Hence the energy level on set was extremely loud and vibrant. Kriti added, “During the shoot of the film director Rohit used to shout loudly at all of us in order to wake everyone up from the sleep.” Varun adds, “His voice is so loud that when he shouts everyone around the sets who had no clue that some shoot is going on used to then learn about it.”
