Raftaar, Rajakumari, Nucleya to mentor budding rappers

MTV will soon launch a reality show for rappers. Rapper and music composer Raftaar has been roped in to the judge the show along with Nucleya and Rajakumari, who also making their debut as judges in Hustle, that goes on air in August.  

Rap rebellion has ushered in a new generation of artists in India and Hustle aims to provide a platform to these voices to narrate their stories, read a statement. 

“Raftaar, Nucleya and Rajakumari will turn mentors for these aspiring rappers who will undergo rigorous training and grueling face offs to emerge as the best. Raftaar whose rap songs are loved by the nation, is all set to create an exclusive music track for the show,” the statement further read. 

Expressing his happiness, Raftaar said, “Nothing makes me happier than music so I am superbly thrilled to be a part of MTV Hustle. Rap has forayed into the mainstream music scene and is not confined to streets anymore. A show like Hustle will further open the floodgates for untapped talents in the country who are waiting to be heard. Its high time we have a platform for artists who are trying to give India a new voice to express, impress and narrate stories. I am looking forward to a wonderful experience as a judge and mentor to these aspiring rappers.”

Nucleya who is also quite excited to a part of this project shares, “Rap has enabled artists to push boundaries in music and express themselves to the best of their creative finesse. I am delighted to be a part of a concept like Hustle that sets the stage for undiscovered talents to excel in the genre. This is one reality show India truly needs. It’s also my debut on national television which heightens the excitement further. I hope to be of value to the contestants as a mentor and musician and inspire them to perform better.”
