Angelina Jolie has accused estranged husband Brad Pitt of domestic violence, reported US Weekly and ETOnline on Thursday. The 45-year-old actress had filed documents in court, indicating that she has proof and authority to support her claims of domestic abuse. The documents also say the couple’s children have also agreed to provide testimony to support her claims of the alleged abuse.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are parents to six children - Maddox, 19, Pax, 17, and Zahara, 16, Shiloh, 14, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 12 and are seeking joint custody of their children.

Earlier, Brad Pitt was investigated by the FBI for alleged child abuse in 2016 after the separation of the couple. He was, however, got cleared of the charges by the FBI.

A source close to Brad Pitt told the US Weekly that Jolie’s latest claims are nothing but an attempt to hurt the 57-year-old actor.

“Over the past four and a half years there have been a number of claims made by Angelina that have been reviewed and not substantiated. The children have been used by Angelina to hurt Brad before and this is more of that behavior. This leaking of documents by her fourth or fifth set of lawyers has been done to hurt Brad.” US Weekly quoted a source as saying.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie started dating in 2004 after their meeting on the sets of Mr. And Mrs. Smith.

After dating for almost 10 years, the couple got married in France in 2014 with all their children involved in the ceremony.However, Jolie filed for divorce just two years after their marriage in 2016, citing irreconcilable differences as the cause for their split.

On the work front, Brad Pitt was seen in the 2019 movie Once Upon A Time in Hollywood for which he also won the Oscar for best-supporting actor. He will be seen next in Bullet Train. Angelina Jolie has completed her shoot for the new film Eternals. The movie is currently in post-production.
