The long-anticipated follow-up to the 2006 film The Devil Wears Prada hit theatres worldwide on May 1. It has received positive reviews and is enjoying a strong box office run. Amid this early success, Oscar-winning director Christopher Nolan shared his thoughts on the film, commending the performances of Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt, both of whom he has previously collaborated with.

Christopher Nolan reviews The Devil weara Prada 2

During his appearance on The Late Show, Nolan was discussing collaborating with Anne Hathaway again when he was asked whether he had seen The Devil Wears Prada 2. The filmmaker replied, "I watched it last night. It was fabulous, with Emily Blunt as well. It was terrific," prompting a loud cheer from the audience.

Nolan and Anne have previously teamed up on films such as Ending the Knight, Interstellar, and Inside Interstellar. The pair have now joined forces once more for another project, The Odyssey, scheduled for release later this year. Emily Blunt has also collaborated with the director on Oppenheimer, which became a major box-office success.

Directed by David Frankel, the film is penned by Aline Brosh McKenna. The sequel brings back Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt as Andy and Emily two decades later. They are joined once again by Meryl Streep and Stanley Tucci, who return as the iconic Miranda and Nigel. New additions to the cast include Kenneth Branagh, Simone Ashley, Justin Theroux, Lucy Liu, Patrick Brammall, Caleb Hearon, Helen J. Shen, Pauline Chalamet, B. J. Novak, and Conrad Ricamora. Tracie Thoms and Tibor Feldman also return as Lily and Irv from the original movie.

The film chronicles Andy Sachs’ return to the fashion magazine Runway, where she once again finds herself working under its ruthless editor, Miranda Priestly. The movie has earned widespread critical praise. It opened strongly at the global box office, surpassing $200 million in its first weekend, becoming profitable within just 24 hours, and even unseating Michael from the top spot at the North American box office.
