Diwali Festival: Riteish Deshmukh upcycles mother's old saree into kurta

Old is Gold! Bollywood actor upcyles his mother's saree into new kurta for his kids

Bollywood actor Riteish Deshmukh has recycled an old saree for new outfits for this Diwali festival. He has has shared the video on Twitter and narrated how he got new kurtas made for himself and his kids from the saree.


The Housefull actor took to his social media to share a video where he’s wearing a blue kurta, along with his two sons. The video also shows that the kurtas were upcycled from his mother Vaishali Deshmukh’s old blue saree.

Riteish shared the video and captioned, “Maa ki purani saree, baccho ke liye Diwali ke naye kapde (Mother’s old saree, new kids for the kids) . Happy Diwali .... shot by Baiko @geneliad - Song credit @sujoy_g #Recycle.”

This is a very unique idea, where the end product not only looks subtle but also holds a sentimental value.
