The creators of Drishyam 3 have revealed the release date for Ajay Devgn's much-awaited movie. On Monday morning, they announced that the film is set to premiere on October 2, a date that is particularly important in the storyline of the franchise.

A recent promotion revealed that Drishyam 3 is set to premiere in theaters on October 2, 2026, four years after the release of its predecessor. Ajay Devgn will return as Vijay Salgaonkar, with Tabu, Shriya Saran, and Rajat Kapoor also confirmed to reprise their roles. Ishita Dutta and Mrunal Jadhav, who portray Ajay's children, will also be back. There is currently no information on whether Akshaye Khanna, who played a police officer in Drishyam 2, will be involved in the film. An official announcement regarding the trailer is anticipated in 2026. Filming is presently in progress and is expected to conclude in the first half of the coming year.
Regarding the Drishyam series
Drishyam, a 2015 film adapted from the Malayalam movie of the same title, tells the story of Vijay Salgaonkar, a gentle family man from Goa who cleverly helps his family evade legal trouble following a murder at their home. Directed by Nishikant Kamat, the film was a major success, grossing ₹197 crore globally. Its popularity led to a sequel released in 2022, which was even more successful, earning ₹345 crore worldwide. Plans for Drishyam 3 were promptly announced thereafter.
Drishyam 3 is helmed by Abhishek Pathak, who also co-wrote the script with Aamil Keeyan Khan and Parveez Shaikh. The production team includes Alok Jain, Ajit Andhare, Kumar Mangat Pathak, and Abhishek Pathak. The Malayalam adaptation of Drishyam 3, featuring Mammootty, is anticipated to debut in 2026.
