Ella Wadia, the great-granddaughter of Pakistan’s founder Muhammad Ali Jinnah, participated in the Le Bal des Débutantes 2025. She wore a stunning strapless Elie Saab gown adorned with detailed embellishments.
Wadia is the daughter of Jehangir Wadia, the Managing Director of Bombay Dyeing, Go First, and Bombay Realty, and Celina Wadia, a fashion designer. She drew significant attention as a participant due to her prominent family background.
Jinnah’s daughter, Dina, married Neville Wadia, and their son, Nusli Wadia, went on to become the chairman of the Wadia Group. Nusli’s son, Jehangir, is the father of Ella Wadia, a fashionable member of the Wadia family who proudly represented India at a prestigious event this year.

Le Bal des Débutantes, often referred to simply as le Bal, is an annual fashion gathering in Paris, France. Formerly known as the Crillon Ball, the event traces its origins to July 10, 1958. The young women who take part typically come from prominent families with political, aristocratic, business, or entertainment ties across the globe.
In the previous year, Rysa Panday, the daughter of Chunky Panday and sibling of Ananya Panday, made her first appearance at Le Bal, where she also chose to wear a gown by Elie Saab.
As in previous years, this year’s prestigious event is backing two initiatives: The Association of Cardiology Research from Fetus to Adult, dedicated to enhancing care for children with heart conditions at Necker-Enfants Malades, and the Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital located in New York’s Hudson Valley.
