Shortly after the release and success of his movie Dhurandhar, actor Ranveer Singh reportedly left Farhan Akhtar's Don 3. This sparked rumors that the film might be shelved, as prior to him, Ranveer's co-star Kiara Advani and antagonist Vikrant Massey had also withdrawn from the project. Recently, there were speculations that Shah Rukh Khan, the original Don, is willing to return but only if Atlee directs the film. Amidst the online buzz, recent reports suggest that Farhan is considering shifting his focus from Don 3 to Jee Le Zaraa, with leading actresses Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif, and Alia Bhatt reportedly interested!

In December, Farhan Akhtar disclosed that coordinating the schedules of Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif, and Alia Bhatt for Jee Le Zaraa, initially announced in 2021, was a challenging experience. However, the issues were resolved, and the team was ready to start filming after a five-year wait. According to a report by Pinkvilla, the casting process for Don 3 is extensive and time-consuming, prompting Farhan to refocus on Jee Le Zaraa. A source mentioned, 'Jee Le Zaraa has always held a special place for Farhan. With Don 3's casting taking longer, he saw this as an opportune time to revisit discussions with the original team and advance the film.'

The report also states that the script is finalized, and if the schedules of all three actors match, Jee Le Zaraa might begin production in the latter half of 2026. The source mentioned, 'Farhan has initiated talks with all three actresses and is optimistic about coordinating their schedules. Everyone is enthusiastic; it's just a matter of finding a shared time slot.'

Ranveer Singh is currently facing legal issues as an FIR has been lodged against him for allegedly offending religious sentiments by ridiculing a revered daiva tradition. This incident pertains to Ranveer imitating a scene from Rishab Shetty’s film Kantara during the International Film Festival of India in Goa. Following online criticism, Ranveer issued a public apology. In terms of his film career, he is set to appear in Dhurandhar 2, which releases on March 19.
