Regarding the game

In his explosive 40-ball 77, Ishan achieved the second-highest score against spin at the venue in a T20 World Cup match. Nonetheless, his innings started cautiously, with Pakistan's off-spinners putting him to the test in the initial stages.

Following the game, he expressed his sincere emotions, stating, "A match between India and Pakistan is always significant, not only for us but for the whole nation. Defeating Pakistan will boost our confidence greatly, and we aim to maintain this momentum."

Kishan mentioned, "Initially, this pitch was quite challenging. Therefore, it's important to stay confident and concentrate on your strengths. My aim was to make them score as many runs as they could on my side. I've put in a lot of effort to improve my off-side batting. I aimed to keep things straightforward. I was certain that if we managed to score between 160 and 170, it would be a solid total for us."
