HYBE, the agency behind BTS, has revealed the commencement of the HYBE India audition, signifying its formal entry into India's talent market as part of its global artist discovery expansion. The announcement was made with the release of the audition's launch video and official poster on X (previously known as Twitter) on Tuesday.

HYBE India plans to adapt its artist development strategy, renowned for identifying, training, and nurturing globally successful talents, specifically for the Indian market. Auditions are set to commence on March 31. The company is known for producing K-pop groups like BTS and KATSEYE.

HYBE India announced on X with a poster, stating, "The anticipation ends. HYBE India Audition has arrived. The quest for the next wave of artists begins now. From this point to the world." Alongside a video, HYBE India added, "The inaugural HYBE India Audition is now open. We are on the lookout for the next generation of Indian artists. If you possess talent, passion, and the determination to succeed, this is your opportunity. The search kicks off on 31st March."
The purpose of the audition is to discover emerging musical talent from India and the Indian diaspora. It will be held using both online and offline methods. In-person auditions are scheduled to take place in Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Pune.
BookMyShow is set to become a ticketing partner. The event will feature a range of integrated experiences, including on-ground pop-up activations, retail engagements, and digital participation.
