Television actor Ram Kapoor has been married to fellow actor Gautami Kapoor for more than two decades. In a recent discussion with Shreya Kalra on Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa, Ram spoke frankly about his romantic past before marriage, acknowledging that he had multiple relationships and referring to himself as a "playboy".
Ram Kapoor admits being a playboy before marriage
In the most recent episode of Lock Upp, Shreya asked Ram how many relationships he had been involved in. Ram responded, "After getting married, not even one." When Shreya clarified that she was referring to the time before marriage, Ram replied, "I was a playboy. I can't keep track of how many relationships I had."
Ram further shared, "When everyone found out that Gautami and I were getting married, Ektaa (Kapoor), who is my friend, called Gautami and said, 'Are you really going ahead with this? He has had many affairs.' Ektaa was concerned for her. And I admit that what Ektaa did was right because that’s how I was."
When news spread that Gautami and I were going to get married, my friend Ektaa Kapoor called Gautami and asked, 'Are you really going ahead with this? He has had many affairs.' Ektaa was worried about her, and I feel she did the right thing, because that’s how I was at the time.

The couple first crossed paths in 2000 on the sets of the television show Ghar Ek Mandir, where their friendship slowly evolved into a romantic relationship. At that time, Gautami was navigating a challenging period after her divorce, and Ram supported her throughout, deepening their connection. After dating for about two years and spending a period living together, they married on 14 February 2003. Ram and Gautami now have two children, daughter Sia and son Aks. They frequently post lighthearted reels on social media, offering fans a glimpse of their playful interactions.
