On Monday night, Ranveer Singh and his wife, actress Deepika Padukone, were seen at the Mumbai airport. The couple, dressed in matching black outfits, was reportedly leaving the country to celebrate the New Year.

In 2023, Ranveer Singh was revealed as the new Don, which sparked significant criticism on social media.

Excel Entertainment unveiled the first glimpse of Ranveer Singh as the iconic character, describing his appointment as the upcoming Don as the start of a 'new era'.

Ranveer Singh was poised to take over the role of Don from superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who portrayed the character in Farhan Akhtar's 2006 film Don and its 2011 sequel Don 2. Priyanka Chopra Jonas also starred in these movies.

The franchise began when Excel Entertainment acquired the rights to the 1978 film featuring Amitabh Bachchan, which was penned by the renowned writing team of Javed Akhtar and Salim Khan.

Following Dhurandhar's success at the box office, Ranveer Singh discussed the concepts of 'nazar' and 'sabr,' referencing a message from R Madhavan's character in the spy action film Dhurandhar.

"He shared on his Instagram Stories, 'Destiny has a wonderful tendency to change when the time is right. However, for the moment... stay observant and patient.'.

Featuring Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, and Rakesh Bedi, Dhurandhar has emerged as the top-grossing Hindi movie of the year, earning Rs 619.30 crore.
