Actress Raai Laxmi, who once dated Indian cricket legend Mahendra Singh Dhoni, has stirred up the media with an old statement about her relationship with the 'Captain Cool'.

The duo was rumored to be in a relationship during the 2008-09 period, with the two being seen together at various events, including IPL parties and Raai Laxmi’s birthday celebration.

In 2014, Raai Laxmi broke her silence on the much-discussed relationship, acknowledging that it would always remain a topic of public interest. "I always knew that my relationship with Dhoni would be remembered as a stain in my life,"

she said during an interview, adding that she has moved on but is baffled by how people continue to discuss it. "It surprises me that even today, people talk about it. I wonder how people have so much time for such things," she remarked.

The relationship allegedly ended due to their career commitments, and just a year later, Dhoni married his current wife, Sakshi. Despite the buzz surrounding their past, Dhoni has never publicly addressed the relationship.

Raai Laxmi, who began her career in modeling, has been in the film industry since she was 15.

Known for her roles in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi cinema, she made her debut with the Tamil film Karka Kasadara in 2005. Recently, she made her Bollywood debut in Ajay Devgn’s Bholaa, marking another milestone in her versatile acting career.

This revelation from Raai Laxmi has reignited interest in her past with Dhoni, reminding fans of the celebrity pairing that once dominated headlines.
