Sohail Khan and Seema Sajdeh are poised to appear together on screen again, years after their divorce. The former spouses will reunite on Prime Video’s reality series The Alliance, with Sohail already part of the show and Seema joining later as a wildcard entrant.
Before Seema’s arrival, a newly released promo has drawn viewers’ attention. In the video, host Kunal Khemu greets Seema and then asks Sohail how he feels about her appearing on the show. Smiling warmly, Sohail remarked, “Wonderful. I have shared my life with this remarkable woman for 25 years. Let me acknowledge on national television that if any mistakes were made, I will accept full blame and responsibility for them.” His words were met with applause from the contestants, while Seema was left briefly at a loss for words.
In an interview with Filmygyan, Seema clarified that their reunion on the show was not a surprise for either of them. She revealed that both knew they would be participating together. When asked about the relationship they anticipate on The Alliance, Seema replied with a touch of humour: "Hopefully, we’ll be in an alliance. We’re in an alliance whether we like it or not, so we are in an alliance."
She also recounted the advice Sohail gave her before she joined the show. "The benefit is that as he was leaving, he told me, 'Just be yourself and don’t let anyone bully you.' I replied, 'I don’t need to be bullied. You’re there.'"Seema also revealed that their younger son, Yohan, played a key role in convincing both of them to be part of the reality show.
Sohail-Seema's marriage and divorce
Sohail and Seema wed in 1998 after eloping, only days before Seema was due to marry businessman Vikram Ahuja. Their relationship later drew significant public attention when Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives debuted on Netflix in 2020. In the first season, Seema, then known as Seema Khan, disclosed that she and Sohail were moving toward a separation. By the second season, the pair had formally divorced, with Seema openly discussing the conclusion of their marriage and their choice to continue their lives independently.
The ex-spouses have two sons, Nirvan and Yohan, whom they continue to co-parent after their divorce. Seema is now said to be in a relationship with businessman Vikram Ahuja.
