This Week's Must-See Releases: Daldal, Mardaani 3, and The 50

The final week of January and the start of February are offering a variety of thrilling theatrical releases, new seasons of web series, and a dash of reality shows. Among the most anticipated releases is Mardaani 3, starring Rani Mukerji. The film features the actress returning to her role as IPS officer Shivani Shivaji Roy.

Daldal, a gripping tale about a merciless serial killer, is also arriving on OTT platforms this week. Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar, which had a successful run in theaters, is now making its streaming debut. These releases collectively offer an exciting lineup for binge-watching this week.

Daldal (January 30) – Available on Prime Video

The series is set in the shadowy depths of Mumbai and centers on a newly appointed Deputy Commissioner of Police in the Mumbai Crime Branch, portrayed by Bhumi Pednekar. As she tracks down a ruthless serial killer, she must also confront her own past traumas and feelings of 'imposter syndrome' within a male-dominated system.

Dhurandhar (January 30) – Available on Netflix

Following its impressive performance at the box office, Ranveer Singh's film is now ready for its OTT release. The movie stars Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, and Sara Arjun in significant roles.

Mardaani 3 (January 30) – Cinemas

The movie is the newest installment in Yash Raj Films' dynamic female-cop series. Rani Mukerji reprises her role as DCP Shivani Shivaji Roy, who is now part of the NIA, tasked with dismantling a brutal beggar mafia and saving numerous abducted girls.

The 50 (February 1) – JioHotstar

Drawing inspiration from the French success Les Cinquante, the series gathers 50 celebrities from television, movies, and social media in an opulent palace setting. For a span of 50 days, they face mental, physical, and social challenges without any rulebook, led solely by an enigmatic character called The Lion.

Mo Gilligan: In The Movement (February 3) – Available on Netflix

Mo Gilligan, the comedian, explores his journey with international stardom, family relationships, and the unique aspects of being 'British in America'.

Crimson Blossom (February 4) – Jio Hotstar

The series centers on a notorious serial killer who asserts having a supernatural power to heal any terminal disease, albeit at the expense of a human life. The narrative delves into the ethical conflict faced by a father who is prepared to shield a murderer to save his ailing daughter.

Our Universe (February 4) – tvN

The narrative centers on 'in-laws' who cohabit to care for their 20-month-old nephew following the death of their siblings.

Relationship Goals (February 4) – Available on Prime Video

The series delves into the contemporary challenges of long-term relationships by focusing on Radhika and Arjun, a couple who discover that their ideal online image is quite different from the conflicts they face in reality.

The Lincoln Lawyer Season 4 (February 5) – Available on Netflix

The show is adapted from Michael Connelly's novel, The Law of Innocence. The upcoming season continues immediately from the Season 3 cliffhanger, where Mickey is battling to establish his innocence after being set up for the murder of his previous client, Sam Scales.
