Urvashi Rautela set to make Tamil debut with multilingual sci-fi film

Actor Urvashi Rautela is all set to play the lead in a sci-fi film. Directed by Joseph D Sami and Jerald Arockiam, the movie will be released in Tamil, Kanada, Telugu, Hindi, and Malayalam. With this movie, the Virgin Bhanupriya actress will make her Tamil debut.

According to reports, the character played by the actress would be of a microbiologist and an IIT-ian. Reports further suggest that Urvashi is already on the schedule and has been shooting for the film in Himachal Pradesh from March 1.

Taking to Instagram, the actor shared a cute picture with an angora rabbit and announced her debut, with the caption, “Playing with this cutie angora rabbit on set !!!! All set for my BIG TAMIL DEBUT Har Har Mahadev (हर हर महादेव) it’s a multilingual film. Happy Maha Shivratri 2021 to all my loved ones (sic)”

Filmmakers' Joseph D Sami and Jerald Arockiam have earlier worked with Rajinikanth, Vikram, Vijay, Ajeet Kumar, among others, from the South.

Urvashi is known for her work in the films like Sanam Re and Singh Saab the Great. The actress has been actively featuring in music videos like the most-recent Ek Ladki Bheegi Bhaagi Si. The actress, who is quite active on her social media, updated her fans about her contribution to the remake of this iconic song. She has not only featured in the song but also lent her voice. She has also been featured in music videos like Teri Load Ve, LoveDose, and Who Chand Kaha Se Laogi, among others.

On the work front, Urvashi Rautela has several projects lined-up this year, the actress will be next seen in the Jio Studios web series called Inspector Avinash. The series will depict a real-life story of a super cop played by Randeep Hooda. According to reports, Urvashi has also signed a three-film deal with the Jio Studios. She is also set for a bilingual thriller titled Black Rose and the Hindi remake of Thirutu Payale 2.
