In an interview with Hindustan Times, Vivek Oberoi mentioned that he informed Namit Malhotra, the producer, that he did not want any payment for his work. Instead, he wished to donate it to a cause he is passionate about- helping children with cancer. Oberoi expressed his desire to support Malhotra, stating his admiration for the project and his belief that it would elevate Indian cinema to the global stage with great impact.

Ramayana as the universal epic of India

Discussing the project, Vivek Oberoi commended the vision of producer Namit Malhotra and director Nitesh Tiwari, describing Ramayana as a pivotal moment for Indian cinema. Oberoi stated, 'What Namit and Nitesh are doing is genuinely elevating Indian cinema to the global arena. Ramayana will be India's response to Hollywood blockbusters,' he mentioned to the news outlet. 'They are linked with a company that has won seven to eight Oscars in VFX.

To take an epic deeply rooted in Indian culture and showcase it worldwide- it doesn't get any bigger or better than this.' He expressed his enjoyment in working on the project, stating it was a pleasure and a lot of fun collaborating with the entire team — Namit, Nitesh, Yash, and Rakul (Preet Singh). He mentioned that he still has a few days of shooting remaining.

His present stage in the film industry

Oberoi expressed gratitude and tranquility regarding his current film career. He remarked, 'It's quite peculiar, as they say the universe responds to vibrations and your emotions. When you're content with yourself, not anxious or worried about your career—just going with the flow, relaxed, and receiving excellent film offers—it's incredible.' The actor is set to appear in Mastii 4 and is also involved in Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Spirit with Prabhas.
