Good news: Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan set to welcome their second child

Sakal Times Entertainment Desk

Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor have said in a joint statement that they are expecting their second child.

"We are very pleased to announce that we are expecting an addition to our family !! Thank you to all our well wishers for all their love and support. --Saif and Kareena," said the announcement issued on Wednesday afternoon by the star couple through their office. Saif and Kareena tied the knot on October 16, 2012. The couple have a son Taimur, who was born on December 20, 2016.

Interestingly, the announcement from the couple came on Wednesday, which happens to be the birthday of Bollywood actress Sara Ali Khan, Saif's daughter from his first wedding with actress Amrita Singh.

The official confirmation comes soon after Kareena's uncle Randhir Kapoor reacted to the rumours and said that he hoped it's true. He further stated it's important for a family to have two kids, so they can keep each other company. Saif and Kareena couple got married in October 2012 and welcomed their first child, Taimur Ali Khan, in December 2016.

On the work front, we will see Kareena Kapoor in Laal Singh Chaddha along with Aamir Khan. Meanwhile, Saif Ali Khan will be next seen in Bunty Aur Babli 2 along with Rani Mukerji.
