Harry Styles Drops Watermelon Sugar Video

Alisha Shinde

Harry Styles has finally released his much anticipated, beach-based video for his latest single Watermelon Sugar that appears on his album Fine Line that came out last December.

Seems like Harry is definitely missing out on some touching as the video that was filmed in January on a beach in Malibu opens with a cheeky and not-so-shy dedication to "touching". However, he took to Instagram to tell his fans to practice social distancing.

The lyrics read as:

Tastes like strawberries on a summer evening

And it sounds just like a song

I want more berries and that summer feeling

It's so wonderful and warm

On Sunday, Harry had dropped a one-minute long preview for the sunny visual that was released on his website. In the clip, an oceanside table for one is set up on the sand. In the last few seconds, and the ex-One Directioner strolls over with the missing piece: a plated slice of watermelon by the sea. As it turns out this scene then escalates to a full-blown beach party as he is surrounded by people and of course fruits.

Harry is also seen posing along with the other party-goers with a watermelon slice for the camera. And ever since the video dropped Stylers have taken to social media to talk about this easy-breezy summer pop song and moreover figure out who inspired the song.

Fans have speculated the videos to come up with theories that the song was written for Harry's French-American ex, Camille Rowe. While he is yet to comment on this speculation, Stylers are having the time of their lives.

The singer was due to be on the road currently in support of Fine Line, but all of his UK and European tour dates have been postponed and rescheduled for early next year because of the coronavirus pandemic. He is supporting WHO’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund with a t-shirt available in his merch store. All profits from the shirt go towards the fund.
