In February, after the success of Malang, director Mohit Suri had shared that the sequel to the film is definitely on the cards but he had not the confirmed whether he had started working on it. Now sources close to the film have confirmed that the makers are already working on the sequel. “Yes, we are coming up with Malang 2. Mohit and Luv (Ranjan) are working on the sequel and more details will follow soon!,” says Producer Ankur Garg. 

The film, which starred Aditya Roy Kapoor, Disha Patani, Anil Kapoor and Kunal Kemmu, released on Netflix on May 15. The movie trends in top 10 across 12 countries including UAE, Canada, Singapore, Malaysia, New Zealand, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Kenya and Qatar, on the platform. It has been ranking at #1 spot in India on the platform owing to the exceptional response from the viewers.

Garg can’t thank their fans enough and says, “We are thankful to the audience who have shown such a phenomenal response to our film after the theatres, now on OTT.”
