Pune, 4th December 2024: The Army Institute of Technology (AIT), Pune, inaugurated the AICTE ATAL Sponsored Faculty Development Program (FDP) on Cybersecurity and Ethical Hacking, a six-day initiative aimed at equipping faculty and participants with advanced skills in the rapidly evolving field of cybersecurity.
The program was inaugurated by Major General KK Chakrabarti, Chairman of AIT, who delivered an inspiring address emphasizing the critical importance of cybersecurity in today’s digital age.
He highlighted the significance of proactive preparation against emerging digital threats and lauded AIT for its continuous advancements in the field.
Brigadier Abhay Bhat, Director of AIT, also addressed the attendees, underlining the growing demand for cybersecurity professionals and AIT’s role in nurturing innovation and talent in this crucial domain.
His insights motivated participants to delve deeper into cybersecurity and ethical hacking as avenues of learning and contribution.
The event received robust administrative support from Colonel MK Prasad, Joint Director, ensuring its seamless execution. Dr. Sunil Dhore, the program’s Convenor, provided a detailed overview of the FDP, including its objectives, key sessions, and the roster of expert speakers lined up for the week.
Dr. BP Patil, Principal of AIT, concluded the inaugural session with a Vote of Thanks, extending gratitude to the dignitaries, participants, and organizing team. Special commendations were extended to the program coordinators, Dr. Sagar Rane and Prof. Sita Yadav, for their exceptional efforts in securing the AICTE ATAL grant and meticulously organizing the FDP.
Scheduled to run until December 7, 2024, the program features a series of lectures and workshops led by eminent industry professionals and academic experts.
The sessions are designed to enhance technical acumen, foster innovation, and prepare attendees to address real-world challenges in cybersecurity.
