Pune: Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages (HCCB) has launched a state-of-the-art digital classroom at Zilla Parishad Primary School (ZPPS) in Nirgudsar, Ambegaon, Pune. The project was inaugurated by Amol Ramsing Kolhe, Member of Parliament for Shirur, as part of HCCB’s ongoing corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
The introduction of smartboards is aimed at creating a modern, interactive learning environment, blending traditional education with advanced technological tools. These boards will enable teachers to deliver dynamic lessons while helping students grasp complex concepts more effectively through visual and digital aids.
Amol Ramsing Kolhe lauded the effort, stating, "HCCB is setting a benchmark in supporting educational development through technology. The addition of digital smartboards at ZPPS Nirgudsar not only enriches the classroom experience but also equips students with tools to thrive in the digital age."
Speaking about the initiative, Himanshu Priyadarshi, Chief Public Affairs, Communications, and Sustainability Officer at HCCB, said, “Our CSR programs are rooted in the mission of uplifting communities across India. By integrating technology into education, we aim to empower students and pave the way for a brighter future.”
HCCB has also announced plans to expand this initiative to other schools, including digital smartboard installations in Ane village, Junnar block, and Jambhori village, Ambegaon block. Additionally, RO filters will be installed in Jambhori and Gunjalwadi villages, ensuring access to safe drinking water and promoting hygiene.
Through its CSR efforts, HCCB has positively impacted over 150,000 individuals in Maharashtra, focusing on community-driven initiatives such as women’s empowerment, skill development, solar streetlights, and sanitation. The company’s health and hygiene campaigns, including WASH programs and infrastructure improvements, reflect its commitment to fostering sustainable development.
