He emphasized that permissions granted in 2024 will remain valid in 2025 as well. The police will not impose any new rules that might hinder the celebration. The Commissioner also confirmed that comprehensive planning for crowd management, traffic regulation, and women’s safety will be implemented, adding that anyone who disturbs public order will face strict action.

The event was attended by several prominent dignitaries, including MLA Hemant Rasane, Dr. Chetananand Maharaj Punekar, former MLA Ulhas Pawar, ex-Mayor Ankush Kakade, Akhil Mandai Mandal President Anna Thorat, Shree Kasba Ganpati Mandal President Shrikant Shete, and representatives from Dagdusheth Trust including President Sunil Rasane, Vice President Manik Chavan, Treasurer Mahesh Suryawanshi, Joint Secretary Amol Kedari, and Festival Head Akshay Godse.

Recalling his experience of last year’s celebrations, Kumar highlighted the scale and grandeur of Ganeshotsav in Pune, where lakhs of citizens participate actively. With the Maharashtra government now declaring this year’s Ganeshotsav as a “Rajyotsav” (State Festival), the scale is expected to grow even further.

To ensure smooth coordination, meetings with all Ganesh Mandals in the city will be held soon. The ceremony concluded with remarks from local leaders and efficient anchoring by Mahesh Suryawanshi.
