Andekar Gang Member Attacks Youth with Sharp Weapon

Rishabh Devdutt Andekar (25, residing in Nana Peth) has been arrested in connection with the incident.

Pune: A member of the Andekar gang reportedly attacked a young man with a sharp weapon in Mangalwar Peth on Tuesday. The Faraskhana Police have arrested one suspect and filed a case against several accomplices.

The injured individual has been identified as Vaibhav Chandrakant Gangne (26, residing at Sumit Heights, 1278, Kasba Peth).

Rishabh Devdutt Andekar (25, residing in Nana Peth) has been arrested in connection with the incident.

A case has also been filed against his associates, including Ganesh Ashok Vaddu, Ayush Bidkar (both residents of Nana Peth), Jayesh Lokhande (resident of Mangalwar Peth), and Pankaj Waghmare (resident of Hadapsar), among others.

According to reports, Gangne had a dispute with the suspects. On Monday night, around 1:15 AM, Gangne and a friend were leaving the Modi Petrol Pump area in Mangalwar Peth when they were confronted by the accused. The suspects verbally abused them, physically assaulted Gangne, and attacked him with a sharp weapon.

Upon receiving information about the incident, Crime Branch Deputy Commissioner Amol Zende and Faraskhana Assistant Commissioner Thombare visited the scene. Police Sub-Inspector Jadhav is currently investigating the case.
