Pune: Army Public School (APS) Pune has emerged as the champion at the Army Welfare Education Society (AWES) Cluster Level English Debate Competition, hosted at their campus on August 24, 2024.

The competition, which revolved around the provocative topic, "Artificial Intelligence Should Be Granted Legal Personhood and Rights," saw fierce debates as participants tackled the subject with well-researched arguments and critical insights.

The debate team from APS Pune, consisting of Anushka Mehta, Serah Maria Johnson, and Shauryaman Bisht, captivated both judges and audience with their persuasive arguments and articulate presentations. Their performance not only secured the overall victory but also earned Shauryaman Bisht the title of Best Interjector.

In addition to APS Pune's success, individual accolades were awarded to Pavni Goel and Anusha from APS Dehu Road, who were named the best speakers for and against the motion, respectively.

The judges commended all participants for their exceptional preparation, confident delivery, and the depth of their arguments.

This latest triumph adds to APS Pune's growing list of achievements, following their recent victory in the Command Level Hindi Debate Competition.
