Pune: In Baramati, a local hotel has introduced an innovative scheme known as the 'Beloved Daughter-in-law Scheme', which is generating significant buzz in the community.

Following the success of the Maharashtra government's 'Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana' (My Beloved Sister Scheme), the Rajwada Park Hotel on Bhigwan Road is now offering a unique dining experience targeted at families.

Under the new scheme, a daughter-in-law can enjoy a free meal if she brings her mother-in-law to dine at the hotel.

The offer comes with specific conditions: the daughter-in-law must be accompanied by her mother-in-law, who will order a meal, and at least five family members must dine together for the offer to be valid. The daughter-in-law will receive the same meal as the mother-in-law for free.

What is the government scheme?

Under the 'Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana' introduced by the Eknath Shinde-led Maharashtra state government, each household with an orange and yellow ration card will receive ₹1500 per month for two women.

To avail of this scheme, the women must be between 21 to 60 years old, and the family’s annual income must be less than ₹2.5 lakh.

The 'Chief Minister Youth Work Training Scheme' provides a stipend to currently unemployed youth who have passed the 12th grade: ₹6000 per month for high school graduates, ₹8000 for those with diplomas, and ₹10,000 for graduates. Eligible candidates must be between 18 to 35 years old and unemployed.

The Baramati hotel offer is creating buzz in political circles too. Supriya Sule, daughter of Sharad Pawar, and Sunetra Pawar, wife of Ajit Pawar had contested for Baramati Loksabha Constituency against each other during the recently concluded Loksabha elections.

Sharad Pawar had termed Sunetra Pawar as an 'outsider Pawar' during the election campaign.
