Pune: Bharat Forge is set to establish a mega site of Kalyani Technoforge on a 50-acre plot in Baramati. With an investment of ₹2,000 crores, the project is projected to create direct employment opportunities for 1,200 individuals.

The company plans to expand its operations in Baramati, focusing on a range of activities including aluminum forging, spare parts production, steel forging, assembly, and sub-assembly, as well as gear manufacturing for electric and hybrid vehicles.

Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar confirmed that the company has requested 50 acres of land, which has been approved by Industry Minister Uday Samant.

As part of the proposed project, Bharat Forge has also sought facilities aimed at supporting industrially backward areas. The company is poised to export to foreign companies, having already secured agreements for this purpose, and has urged for immediate allocation of land.

Baramati currently faces challenges with water supply, receiving it every other day. Bharat Forge is implementing twelve advanced and well-equipped projects across the nation, with a small project already operational in Baramati.

Kalyani Technoforge, boasting over 40 years of extensive experience, is known for producing a variety of products while upholding high standards of quality, ensuring timely deliveries.

Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has actively facilitated efforts to operationalize this mega project in Baramati. Following discussions with Amit Kalyani, he has also initiated actions for the swift allocation of land from MIDC.

This project is anticipated to significantly enhance industrial development in Baramati and generate substantial employment opportunities, utilizing land returned by Sahyadri Agro.
