Pune: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Bhimrao Tapkir has emerged victorious in the Khadakwasla Assembly constituency, securing a decisive win over his nearest rival, Sachin Dodke of the Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar), with a margin of 52,322 votes.

Mayuresh Wanjale, son of late Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) leader Ramesh Wanjale, entered the electoral fray on an MNS ticket. However, he could not replicate his father’s electoral success and finished third.

Final Results After 25 Rounds of Counting:

  • Bhimrao Tapkir (BJP): 1,63,131 votes

  • Sachin Dodke (NCP - Sharad Pawar faction): 1,10,809 votes

  • Mayuresh Wanjale (MNS): 42,897 votes

Tapkir’s lead was evident from the initial rounds of vote counting and continued to widen as the process progressed.

Despite a robust campaign effort from Sharad Pawar's NCP and Mayuresh Wanjale's attempts to connect with voters, Tapkir’s local popularity and BJP's strong organizational network tilted the scales in his favor.

This victory reaffirms BJP’s stronghold in the Khadakwasla constituency, where Bhimrao Tapkir has consistently maintained his influence over the years.
