Pune: Displaying extraordinary resilience, a 10th-grade student from Walhe, Purandar Taluka, appeared for his board exam just hours after performing his father’s last rites.

Sahil Sachin Bhosale, a student of Maharshi Valmiki Vidyalaya, faced an unimaginable tragedy when his father, Sachin Bhosale, passed away from a heart attack on March 9 (Sunday).

His father, who worked as a truck driver, was the family's primary breadwinner. He had always motivated Sahil to focus on his studies and dreamt of a brighter future for his children. However, his sudden demise left Sahil and his family shattered.

With his Science-I paper scheduled for March 10 (Monday), Sahil was overwhelmed by grief and uncertainty. Seeing his distress, teachers from his school personally visited him, offering support and encouragement. They reminded him that appearing for the exam would be the best way to honor his father’s dedication to his education.

Moved by their words, Sahil made the courageous decision to go ahead with his exam. On Monday morning, after completing the ashes immersion ritual, he arrived at the examination center with tears in his eyes but determination in his heart. He sat for his paper, proving that strength and perseverance can overcome even the deepest sorrow.
