Car Accident at Bhigwan: Speeding Car Overturns; Five Dead, One Critical

The six youths from Telangana were on a trip to Maharashtra and were returning home when the accident occurred amidst heavy downpour in Indapur.

Pune: A tragic accident occurred on the Pune-Solapur National Highway near Dalaj (Tal. Indapur) around 4 PM on Tuesday (July 2) when a speeding car lost control and overturned, resulting in the deaths of five young men and critically injuring another.

The victims have been identified as Rafiq Qureshi (34), Irfan Patel (24), Mehboob Qureshi (24), Firoz Qureshi (28), and Firoz Qureshi (27), all residents of Narayankhed, Medak District, Telangana. The injured individual, Syed Ismail Amir (23), is currently receiving treatment in Bhigwan.

The six youths from Telangana were on a trip to Maharashtra and were returning home when the accident occurred. Heavy rains were pouring down in the Indapur Taluka area around 4 PM.

The car, traveling at high speed, lost control and overturned several times, leading to the instant deaths of the five young men, according to Assistant Police Inspector Vinod Mahangade of Bhigwan Police Station.

Upon receiving news of the accident, Police Sub-Inspector Mahesh Kupewad and his team from the Highway Traffic Police Centre, along with Assistant Police Inspector Vinod Mahangade and his team from Bhigwan Police Station, rushed to the scene.

The injured were immediately transported to a hospital in Bhigwan, but unfortunately, five of them were pronounced dead before any medical intervention could be provided.
